How does LAS News write its stories?
An automated pipeline reads public RSS feeds from news publishers, groups reports about the same event, and uses an AI language model to write an original summary in its own words. Stories pass automated checks on length, copying and quotes before they are published. Read the full explanation in How LAS News gathers and rewrites news.
Does LAS News credit its sources?
Yes. Stories are meant to credit and link to the reporting they draw on, so readers can open the original and judge for themselves.
How often does LAS News publish?
The site is updated automatically every 30 minutes, so new and updated stories appear throughout the day.
What is Eyewitness and how do I submit a report?
Eyewitness is a tab on LAS News where readers can submit reports from where they are. Open LAS News and choose the Eyewitness tab to send yours. Include what you saw, where and when. Only submit things you witnessed yourself.
